I'm in a festive mood this month as we've gotten more snow before Christmas this year than we ever had since we moved to this area decades ago. It gives me a warm, cozy feeling, which leads me to read and write a lot of warm, cozy stories.

I've been concentrating on my contemporary romance pen name this year, and I haven't put out anything else for myself. I intended to write a cozy fantasy LitRPG, but the idea slipped through my fingers. If I don't jump on a story when it's fresh in my head, it tends to get pushed aside and forgotten by the many other stories vying for my attention.

Yet next year, I've assigned myself a project. I'm going to put all the books in my TOTEM series together in one collection. The book will be called 'SISTERS OF THE PALE CLAW.' I debated what to call it, and I flipped back and forth between focusing on the quest for the totems and the sisters themselves. In the end, I decided it is their tale. Their sisterly bond is the glue that holds the story together. I've already created a cover I adore, and when I get the hard work done, I'll reveal it to you.

I will also continue writing for my pen name, Alora James. I'll be starting a new cozy small town romance series for her next year. Sweet and spicy Omegaverse romance with second chances.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Readers like you are awesome!

To show my thanks, I have THREE FREE gifts for you this holiday season.

"Totally falls in line with a Hallmark type film. A very sweet and very knotty Omegaverse story. Super fun to read and loved seeing the dynamics at play."

"Just as in the first story, it’s filled with real-world situations that are made all the more intriguing by the paranormal qualities of the characters. Of Gods and Sorrow is another entertaining journey in a whole new world. Escapism at it’s best!"

"In between the intra-team drama, there is plenty of fantasy fighting and sleuthing. I didn't see some of these twists coming. Rains does a superb job of keeping the reader guessing and off balance. Highly recommended to any fans of fantasy."

Have a happy holiday season and I'll see you in 2026!
