I'm starting off 2025 right with offering a free ebook. I want to be extra kind and generous this year as I know so many people struggling. A book might not seem like so much, but good stories have gotten me through so many hard times.
I hope to keep writing and submitting a short story every month. I wrote a fun little horror piece last month, and I'm leaning into the urge to write more horror this year.
Why horror? I have been spending a lot of time writing novels for my romance pen name, Alora James. That brand will still be my main focus as it helps to pay my bills. I've been calling it my "work" brand while the stories I write under my own name are for me. I think my muse is trying to balance me out with my craving to write scary stories.
I completed my 2024 Goodreads reading challenge to read 100 books. YAY! I'll be setting the same goal for myself this year. I read in all genres, but I do have a growing list of horror I want to get read.
