Review for Semi-Charmed

Blurb: She’s infamous.

He’s legendary.

Together, they’ll be epic…or a complete train wreck. It could go either way, really…

Psychic and paranormal PI Harper Hall isn't that surprised when her business partner skips town. She never really trusted the jerk anyway.

But if Harper wants to consult for the police on a high-profile case, she'll need a new partner-- preferably one with some supernatural talents of his own.

Noah Riddick, a slayer left jobless when vampires went public and earned human rights, is perfect for the gig. Too bad he’s grumpy, anti-social, and completely resistant to the idea of working with her.

Riddick's dark secrets and shady past forced him into exile from human society--an exile he was comfortable with until gorgeous and exasperating Harper waltzed into his life. Now, all too aware of how unlifelike his life has been, he realizes partnering with her might be the best thing that could ever happen to him…even though it might be the worst for her.

Fighting vampires, making immortal enemies, staging daring rescues... it's all in a day's work. But falling in love? Well... that's a little trickier. Even for the Semi-Charmed Harper Hall.

Review: Harper Hall is trying to make her private investigation business work even when her partner has skipped town. She's got the skills and psychic powers to help out. Yet no one wants to hire her without him, so she's determined to find a replacement. What she doesn't expect to find is the infamous vampire slayer, Noah Riddick, and her insane attraction to him. It could be he's a little obsessed with her too. Things get further tangled when a powerful vampire targets Harper. All Riddick wants to do is protect her, but she has a habit of finding trouble. Will this case be her last?

A wonderfully fun paranormal romance with a lot of great world building. I'm curious to know if there will be more about Sentry (the vampire slaying agency no longer allowed to run now that vampires have rights). Harper has a lot of sass and heart, and she made me laugh out loud. I love her never give up attitude, and her family is a hoot. Riddick is the delicious dark and brooding hero. My favorite kind! I really enjoyed Hunter and Mischa too, and they totally need their own book. The love triangle with Lucas was unneeded as Harper and Riddick had enough internal and external conflict going on. Lucas on his own was an interesting character, but he brought nothing to the story itself. If this is the first book in the series, I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next!
