Blurb: Harlow Grayson protects her heart with an iron corset…

…and sticking to her cynical view of Valentine’s Day seems safer than risking a shot from Cupid’s arrow. A box of chocolates and a rom-com marathon while lounging in her PJs suits her just fine.

Crystal Ball, her holiday-obsessed ghostly sidekick, has other ideas. Playing matchmaker is in her DNA and Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to show Harlow that love can be sweeter than the finest chocolate truffle.

When murder strikes the town’s new chocolatier, their love debate takes a backseat to investigate. But with so many suspects during the season of love, how will Crystal ever prove her theory to Harlow?

Review: Harlow Grayson is on a mission to organize the best Valentine's Day party for the town and solve the mystery of a candy maker's death. She's helped by her faithful assistant and ghost sidekick all the while the handsome chief of police demands she stay out of the investigation. Harlow can't resist a good story, but if she's not careful, Cupid's arrow isn't the only thing she has to worry about.

This is the third book in the fabulous cozy paranormal mystery series, Ask Crystal Ball. It's one of those books that has everything you from this genre. Quaint little town, a quirky ghost who believes in love, and a peculiar murder of a chocolatier. I'm with Harlow on her opinion of Valentine's Day, but it's so cute how flustered she gets around Nelson. Even cuter is Nelson's daughter trying to set them up. It's a very slow burn, and I can't wait for more in this series to see how Harlow and Nelson finally come together. I absolutely love Crystal Ball, and everyone needs an amazing assistant like Gabe. His side plot of impressing the girl he likes with being a secret admirer is a lot of fun. Harlow goes through her list of suspects, and there are a few twists I didn't see coming. Gwen's books inspire me to write cozies.
