Sisters of the Pale Claw is Now in Paperback

It's taken a lot of work, but SISTERS OF THE PALE CLAW is finally available in paperback. I got my author's proof the other day, and I was so excited. It's a thick tome at 717 pages. Not one I could hold up with one hand and read. It's a two-hand job! It includes all nine novellas of the Totem series and bonus author's notes at the end of each novella.

This is the first print book I've done a full back to front cover for. It took a lot of tweaking, but it came out perfect. The icy background wraps around the whole book.

Little Bear is showing the book off! If you buy the book, you will not get that annoying gray stripe saying "Not for resale" on it!

While I worked on the cover, I hired a professional formatter to do the interior. I tried to do it on my own, but it was a mess. Sam, from Author Services by Sam, was fantastic. This was the biggest project she'd ever taken on, and she handled it so well. She offered me choices for fonts, chapter beginnings, and headers and footers that I wouldn't have thought about on my own. The gutters and edging (since the book is so big) took a few tries to get right by Amazon's standards, but Sam kept working until it was perfect. It feels wonderful to hold my Totem series in my hands and it's all thanks to Sam. She still has a few openings this year, if you want to click on her Facebook site and sign up!

Now that this massive project is done, I'm eager to start on something new. I don't know what it will be yet. I have so many ideas! I'm just finishing off writing a novel for my pen name, and I already have a new series planned for her. Some cozy romance in a Canadian setting. Cozy is the choice of sub-genre for both romance and fantasy this year, and it's one that I'm happy to immerse myself in.
