New Blog, First Post

Hello internet! It's been a long time since I've written a blog post, and I miss it. I'm still trying to get into a regular routine. I do fear another lockdown and that has me hesitant to lock myself into any schedule when I know I'll have to give up my computer to my son for school. I'm getting there, though. I'm organizing everything and seeing more clearly through the order.

I'm excited to release my first LitRPG novel this coming October. It has been a lot of fun for me to write it. Now to market it... I still whack my head on the desk when it comes to promoting. This is a new genre with a new audience. I'll be trying a few different things, but in the end, I've come to realize most of marketing makes me unhappy. I need to do what makes me content.

The same goes for blogging. I love to blog and visit other people's blogs, but it's time consuming. I need my time to write. Yet there is one thing I continue to do and I enjoy doing that I'm going to transfer to my blog: book reviews. I set my Goodreads goal to 100 books every year, and I write a review for every story. It makes sense for me to share some of those reviews here.

Does that make me a book reviewer? I suppose... ? I'm not actively seeking books to review. Goodness knows I have plenty of books on my Kindle I need to read as it is!
